Trish Gunby spent years as a stay-at-home mom and church leader, moved by her faith to work for social justice causes and help her community. But she was asked by her neighbors to represent them at the Missouri Statehouse, and it changed her life: as a Representative, she fought to expand healthcare, helped small businesses navigate during the Covid-19 pandemic, and stood strong while civil and individual rights were under attack.
While in Jefferson City, Trish created an eight-point ‘Pledge to Serve the People’, that spells out how to hold political office while always keeping the focus on being responsive to constituents and serving with honor. Now, she wants to take that same strength and dedication to Washington D.C., and she has the experience, people skills, and volunteer army needed to unseat a GOP party loyalist who hasn’t been seen in the district in years. She’s already proven that she can flip a bright-red seat, handily winning her R+8 district in 2019.
In Congress, Trish will work to codify reproductive rights, end gun violence, protect our LGBT+ communities, and hold responsible those who attacked our Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. She’s been endorsed by dozens of current and former Missouri elected officials, local political groups including the St. Louis Young Democrats, unions like the UAW, and environmental, gun reform, and voting rights organizations across the state. She’s a faith-driven progressive leader with the skills needed to win her district, and Indivisible is proud to endorse Trish in 2022. We need her unstoppable drive in Washington.
Indivisible St. Louis nominated Trish Gunby for a national endorsement. If you would like to join the group or get involved, you can find them on Facebook or Twitter.
